
Christina Applegate (born November 25, 1971)[1] is an American actress. As a child actress she was known for her role as Kelly Bundy on Fox's sitcom Married... with Children (1987-1997). Applegate had a successful career in both film and television. She won an Primetime Emmy Award for seven nominations. In addition, she received four Golden Globe Awards nominations and the Tony Award. Applegate was a star in the title role on the NBC sitcom Jesse (1998-2000) and resulted in a Golden Globe Award nomination. As an actor on the NBC sitcom Friends and Friends, she was honored with an Primetime Emmy Award. She was nominated for the Tony Award as Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in Sweet Charity (2005). Applegate then went on to play in the ABC sitcom Samantha Who? (2007-2009), for which she was awarded two Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominations. She also appeared in the NBC sitcom Up All Night (2011-2012); and the Netflix dark drama series Dead to Me (2019-2022) which brought her three Primetime Emmy Award nominations and an Golden Globe Award nomination.Applegate has played major roles in several films, including Don't Tell Mom that the Babysitter's Dead (1991), The Big Hit (1998), The Sweetest Thing (2002), Grand Theft Parsons (2003), Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), Hall Pass (2011), Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013), Vacation (2015), Bad Moms (2016) as well as Crash Pad (2017).
